Gérard TROTTIER AND ROY KIYOOKA are slightly older and better known artists whose reputation is well established. The work of Gérald TROTTIER is rarely seen in large numbers, although at the end of 1963 he organized an exhibition in Ottawa where, for the first time, it was possible to appreciate the powerfully expressionistic and somewhat mystical scope of his painting. A convinced religious artist, he also works as a sculptor, muralist mosaic artist and in graphic arts. Dedicated to such diverse forms of artistic expression, one often sees forced to distance oneself from painting.


Roy KYOOKA has, at one time, revealed a deep feeling for the surface and texture of his paintings, having recently devoted himself more to the geometric drawing of space and the synthesis of bright colors. Your use of colors

Claude Tousignant and Jacques Hurtubise are the youngest of the group. Despite their youth, they have already received considerable critical acclaim and their works are part of notable public and private collections. Although still on the threshold of his career, his artistic journey already includes a considerable number of works.

Gérard TROTTIER ET ROY KIYOOKA sont des artistes un peu plus âgés et plus connus dont la réputation n'est plus à faire.

L'œuvre de Gérald TROTTIER est rarement vue en grand nombre, même si, à la fin de 1963, il organise une exposition à Ottawa où, pour la première fois, il est possible d'apprécier la portée puissamment expressionniste et quelque peu mystique de sa peinture.

Artiste religieux convaincu, il travaille également comme sculpteur, mosaïste muraliste et dans les arts graphiques. Dédié à des formes d'expression artistique aussi diverses, on voit souvent contraint de s'éloigner de la peinture. Roy KYOOKA a révélé, à une certaine époque, un sentiment profond pour la surface et la texture de ses peintures, s'étant récemment consacré davantage au dessin géométrique de l'espace et à la synthèse de couleurs vives.
